IN PERSON: MEDIEVAL MONASTICISM WITH ALEXANDER CLEMENTE

IN PERSON: MEDIEVAL MONASTICISM WITH ALEXANDER CLEMENTE Online

The monk is among the most iconic of medieval images. This is evidenced by the works of Geoffrey Chaucer and even the depictions of Friar Tuck, from the tales of Robin Hood. While many movies and streaming programs include monks, this lecture intends to heighten our awareness of the central role that such men (and nuns) played in the furtherance of Medieval European Civilization.
