VIRTUAL: MAPPING THE UNSEEN: ART, GEOGRAPHY, AND ABSTRACTION WITH BEN RIZZO AND THE MILLBURN SHORT HILLS ART ADVISORY COMMITTEE Online
Join us for an exclusive 1-hour Zoom mastermind with Ben Rizzo, an artist who transforms traditional maps into mesmerizing abstract pieces. In this session we’ll discuss the relationship between art and maps, how Rizzo develops his pieces from real-world geography, and dive into the meaning behind the abstract elements in his work. Who knows, there may even be a few steps of the creative process shown live!
Presented by the Millburn-Short Hills Art Advisory Committee.
Raised by artists, Ben’s studio is found within his family’s New Jersey frame shop. Graduating in 2013, he holds a BFA in Studio Art and Education from James Madison University. He has shown widely across the area in galleries, libraries, schools, etc.
