ADULT LECTURE SERIES - ROSIE THE RIVETER UNMASKED WITH DR. JAMES KIMBLE
Come join us for a 6 week lecture series for adults. We will be discussing many different topics, including arts/humanities, health/wellness, and current technologies.
Our speaker today is Dr. James Kimble from the Seton Hall University College of Communications and the Arts.
A great deal of widely accepted knowledge about World War II’s Rosie the Riveter is actually based on exaggerated or misunderstood legends. Drawing on a number of recent research projects, Dr. Kimble explores the numerous myths that have developed around the famous “We Can Do It!” poster, and relates his quest to find the elusive woman behind the timeless image.
