VIRTUAL: LOCAL AUTHOR: ALLIE NAVA
Local author Allie Nava will read from and discuss her new novel July and Everything After.
About the book:
Maya’s journey from America to her birth country was meant to be a nostalgic visit. Instead, it became a fight for survival. With twists and turns across both Asia and America, bestselling novel JULY AND EVERYTHING AFTER is a story of resilience amid unspeakable oppression and dehumanization. Drawing upon ancient wisdom, it is a powerful story of survival and healing. Eloquent prose marks Allie Nava's debut as a standout in contemporary fiction. Fans of Paolo Coelho, Amy Tan, Vaddey Ratner, and Khaled Hosseini will be captivated by this modern tale of resilience and transformation against extraordinary odds.
About the author:
Allie is an American writer who survived the violent anti-minority massacres of 1970s Sri Lanka. A former executive and writing advisor, she’s been a board member or advocate for several mission-oriented organizations including Bellevue Literary Review and Golden Seeds.
