LENORE RAPHAEL

LENORE RAPHAEL

Former Millburn resident and internationally renowned jazz pianist Lenore Raphael returns for one show only at the Millburn Free Public Library on Sunday, February 18 at 2:00pm.

Ms. Raphael will perform "A Tribute to Oscar Peterson and Herb Ellis" with acclaimed jazz guitarist Doug MacDonald

Lenore Raphael is an internationally renowned jazz pianist, Steinway artist, radio host and jazz teacher, and has been described as one of the best pianists in the jazz mainstream today. Critics, jazz hosts, and jazz lovers all agree that Ms. Raphael is one of the most swinging mainstream pianists today. Influenced by Oscar Peterson, Bud Powell and Bill Evans, she has taken these influences and created her own recognizable sound.

Doug MacDonald’s career as a jazz guitarist has taken him from Hawaii to Las Vegas, Los Angeles to Manhattan, and to Spain, Finland, Estonia, and the UK. Playing in clubs, concert halls and recording studios, Doug has been a featured soloist, as well as an accompanist for some of the greatest jazz luminaries of our time.

The Millburn Free Public Library is very pleased to welcome these amazing jazz musicians to our library for this singular performance.
