ONLINE-THE HISTORY OF GREENWOOD GARDENS

ONLINE-THE HISTORY OF GREENWOOD GARDENS

Over the course of a century, two idiosyncratic families transformed Greenwood Gardens into an enchanted hideaway by gracing it with winding paths, terraced gardens, woodlands, grottoes, fountains, andArts and Crafts follies.

Using archival and recent photos in her presentation, Abby O’Neill will illustrate how the families’ varied interests and styles mark the property, particularly in the Main Axis, the core portion of the garden.

Today, set against a backdrop of startling beauty and artifacts of the families’ unique histories, their legacy lives on. Greenwood Gardens is a peaceful haven where the visiting public can connect with both nature and the past.
