IN-PERSON: ART WORKSHOP FOR KIDS! LEARN ABOUT ARTIST RUTH ASAWA, PRESENTED BY PETRA PANKOW
In-person event for children ages 8-12. Kids are invited to join us for this program (called "Drawing in Space") to learn about artist Ruth Asawa and create art in her style! Ruth Asawa was a Japanese-American modernist artist, most famous for her sculptures made of wire. Art educator Petra Pankow will lead the kids in learning about Ruth Asawa, and afterwards the children will create their own nature-inspired mobiles using pencils, paper, and wire! This hands-on program will appeal to kids who enjoy art and being creative! Class size is limited and registration required; register each individual child who would like to attend so we have enough supplies for all!
