IN-PERSON: DRUMMING FOR KIDS! ORIGINS OF UGANDA'S RHYTHMS AND DANCES
In-person event for children ages 4 to 12. The Millburn Library welcomes Ssuuna - a dancer, drummer, singer, songwriter, and reggae artist from Uganda for this very high-energy drumming program! Have fun learning traditional drum rhythms and dances from different regions of Uganda in this workshop with Ssuuna. Working together—some as drummers and others as dancers—kids explore the history and meaning behind the East African steps and drum beats. Program runs abour 45 minutes and registration required. Program will take place upstairs in the auditorium.
